We’re excited to announced that Beca will be a partner in Creative HQ’s Impact Accelerator 2023, along with Callaghan Innovation, Wellington NZ and Ministry for the Environment.

The Accelerator is a three-month impact acceleration programme to fast-track the growth of sustainable, high-impact companies in Aotearoa.

Jeannine Walsh, Head of Beca’s New Ventures Accelerator and Genevieve Smith, Principal - Sustainability and Climate Change Advisory will lead Beca’s participation in the programme with the aim of supporting start-ups driving social and environmental change.

“This is an exciting programme aligned with Beca’s Sustainability Services Innovation Fund,” says Jeannine.

“Partnering with the Ministry for the Environment means that together, we’ll provide input into the focus areas of these start-ups. We’ll be especially interested in nature-based themes and solving challenges in the TNFD space.”

Creative HQ is accepting expressions of interest from New Zealand and global start-ups to participate. 20+ early-stage ventures and project teams will be selected from several sectors who will aim to solve challenges that have been identified across key focus tracks, to be announced in January.

“The NVA have had a long-standing relationship with Creative HQ, New Zealand’s leading innovation hub, says Jeannine.

“We’re looking forward to working with their team and to find and create new and innovative sustainability solutions.”
