Erasito Beca Consultants Ltd (EBCL) is a joint venture between the Fiji branch of Beca International Consultants Ltd and associate company, Erasito Consultants Ltd, based in Suva, Fiji. EBCL combines Beca Airports engineering, planning and management knowledge with local consultancy services. They have recently completed a number of projects for Airports Fiji Ltd. These include:
- An apron slab replacement programme for Nadi International Airport. EBCL’s design involved cement stabilisation of existing base course materials and a new concrete surfacing. A staged implementation was formulated that allowed the works to be undertaken with only minimal interruptions to aircraft operations around the busy international terminal.
- The planning and design of a 370m long extension and widening to the runway at Nausori International Airport.
- Airside civil engineering services for a new terminal building, apron and car parking, also at Nausori International Airport.
- Airside civil engineering design services for a new terminal and apron project along with design and construction monitoring of the runway reconstruction project at Savusavu Airport.
- Upgrading of the runway at Rotuma Airport, involving geometric improvement and sealing the existing grass and gravel-surfaced runway.
