Central to her design philosophy is an understanding of client needs as well as an understanding of the context beyond the site.

Annette is a registered architect and urban designer with over 20 years’ experience. In this time Annette has been the architect for over twenty buildings with a strong specific user design and community-led component. Annette's urban design expertise includes master planning, developing design guidelines, and expert advice and assessment of a range of urban projects. She has also been the design lead for main street revitalisation projects in Manukau City, New Zealand and is a founding member of the Manukau City component of the Auckland Council Urban Design Panel. Recently Annette has been involved in providing urban design expertise to the Pacific Islands including capacity building workshops, and urban design input into spatial planning and coastal infrastructure projects.
