Experienced environmental engineer Humphrey has co-authored twenty technical papers and received nine awards during the course of his career.
Humphrey has 35 years' experience with specialist knowledge of wastewater treatment facilities and a range of biosolids management methods.
His experience has included the design of all new anaerobic digesters constructed in NZ municipal waste water treatment plants since 1985, as well as much of the upgrading work on existing digestion plants. Associated projects have included thickening and dewatering, biosolids removal from oxidation ponds, biosolids stabilisation lagoons and biogas re-use in boilers and cogen engines.
In addition, Humphrey has successfully facilitated consultation for resource consent procurement over a wide range of environmental projects.
Developing solutions to environmental issues involves a wide range of inputs from scientific and engineering specialists to meet community and regulatory expectations in a cost effective manner. Humphrey's wide experience allows him to coordinate the various inputs and to present potential solutions to Local Authorities and Hearing Panels. Humphrey gets enormous satisfaction from working to improve water and air receiving environments.
