Vaughan manages Beca Applied Technologies Ltd, a wholly owned Beca subsidiary dealing with software development and management consulting services for Beca and its client base.
“We have an amazing variety of work ranging from bespoke software development to the implementation of Windows SharePoint Services,” he says. “We also offer asset management consulting and specialist strategic services such as Lean/Six Sigma and Visualisation consulting.”
Vaughan believes the skills and experience of the people at Beca are what drives the organisation. “Our diverse groups of professionals can listen to clients’ issues and interpret them to produce a clear definition of the problem that can help drive an appropriately scaled, elegant solution”.
With a background in both Marketing and IT, Vaughan can provide a rare perspective that interprets technical IT jargon for the rest of the business and vice versa. He says, “Business problems in the IT space are sometimes compounded by a pre-determined or precipitant leap to the technology of choice rather than developing a business requirement specification before choosing the solution.”
Vaughan’s particular passion is for internet and web marketing and the converging of content across electronic media.
