Manager of Auckland Power / Auckland

John Fallow

“Beca has the perfect balance of opportunities and challenges to ensure every day brings exciting challenges”

John Fallow - Manager of Auckland Power.

John started with Beca back in 2003 as a graduate power systems engineer. From day one, John found working at Beca to be what every young engineer could ask for – working on interesting and challenging projects with some of the most experienced engineers in the country.

During his time with Beca, John has had the chance to work on a number of large and interesting multi-discipline projects. Projects have included several Terminal Station Rebuilds with SP AusNet, developing standard designs and designing one-off control systems. Many of these projects involve international travel and regular contact with Beca’s clients.

In 2006 John, with the help of Beca’s international contacts, found work overseas with AMEC in Calgary, Canada to support his OE travels.

On returning to New Zealand, John rejoined the power team. He now manages some of Beca’s biggest power design projects. At the same time, he has taken on the role of Section Manager, adding a new dimension to his role.

“Six years on and life at Beca is still never boring - and there are no signs of that changing” says John.
