“Beca offers a supportive environment where employees are equipped with everything they need to get ahead”
Starting out as a graduate in the project management field, Andrew has progressed quickly to Project Manager. He attributes much of his progress to Beca’s support in the form of mentoring, training and professional development.
Within a short space of time, Andrew has had the opportunity to gain onsite experience on many large scale projects. These include the Manukau Town Centre Revitalisations, Eden Park Redevelopment, ASB Stand Extension and Auckland International Airport runway and taxiway widening for the A380. His inaugural leadership opportunity as Project Manager was the Albany Junior High School Redevelopment.
Andrew has always been keenly interested in project management as he values the prospect of managing a project from conception through to implementation. He also enjoys the personable aspects of field work, where he represents the face and voice of Beca to clients, local communities and other consultants.
Andrew is quick to recognise Beca’s contributions to the engineering scene in New Zealand and across the world. “Because of Beca’s multidisciplinary and multinational nature, clients aren’t simply getting ‘the same old outcomes’,” he says. “The way Beca clusters knowledge provides the scope for innovative solutions, through value-added services.”
