The office offers the full complement of multi-disciplinary engineering services including mechanical, process, electrical (control and instrumentation), civil, structural, project management, planning and environmental. The team has contributed to the development of facilities for oil and gas processing, the manufacture of ammonia, urea and methanol, water and wastewater processing, and dairy products processing.

As a new member of the New Plymouth team, you’ll enjoy the friendly ‘can do’ attitude and professionalism of your colleagues. Being in a smaller office allows you opportunities to work closely with your colleagues on a wide range of projects.

The engineering scene in Taranaki is open and friendly, and you’ll have networking opportunities through events organised by the local branch of IPENZ (Institution of Professional Engineers New Zealand). You’ll also be able to further increase your contacts through your work with other Beca offices around New Zealand.

There is a strong work/life balance in Beca’s New Plymouth office and its social club is active with sports teams and events. The Taranaki lifestyle and environment is famous amongst trampers, climbers, skiers and surfers with Mt Taranaki providing the backdrop to stunning coastline, where locals and visitors enjoy boating, sailing, diving, bird watching, pole fishing, surfing and beach walks at the Sugar Loaf Islands marine park and world class surfing and windsurfing conditions at the beaches around New Plymouth.
