When Andrew joined Beca in 1991 as part of Beca's Graduate Programme, the transportation team had only a handful of team members. As the team grew, delivering successful and ever larger projects, so too did Andrew's interest in the field of transport modelling.
Andrew has since been involved in several large infrastructure projects throughout New Zealand, providing high level strategic as well as local design advice on transport planning, traffic engineering, toll and economics modelling.
He leads Beca's transport modelling team as Technical Director and has been involved in projects such as the Northern Busway, Waterview Connection, Tauranga Eastern Link and Britomart Interchange. He has also developed regional multi-modal transportation models for Auckland and Wellington.
Andrew attributes a lot of his skill and knowledge acquired over the years to the wide range of opportunities Beca has presented. He also says "strong managerial support has allowed me to gain valuable experience and focus on delivering solutions to clients. It is also an insightful and enjoyable experience to work with Beca’s highly knowledgeable and experienced senior staff."
