Mike currently leads Beca's involvement in the buildings market. This involves developing and executing the appropriate strategy within the buildings sector and ensuring we strengthen our relationships with buildings clients.
Prior to this, Mike was Managing Director of Beca Asia until early 2011. He still serves on the Beca UK company Board having helped set up the company. Before joining Beca in 1992, Mike worked on many commercial engineering projects in Wellington, London and Auckland.
His area of expertise rests in the design and construction of large commercial, healthcare and institutional projects in Australia, Asia and UK. He has been involved in a number of projects covering concept and detailed design, technical reviews and commercial negotiations.
Having worked with many different procurement methods, Mike is able to offer clients an objective perspective of the benefits (and pitfalls) of procurement methods and which may suit the client and project profile.
Mike believes that it is important that clients can trust their consultant team, and with trust and solid working relationships, the full benefit of a collaborative effort can be generated; resulting in a best for project outcome.
